An audience of students, alumni, family, faculty and the local community were treated to a range of dance styles representing 31 countries.
To participants and spectators alike, Gala is more than just a dance program. “Gala is one of those events that really celebrates and champions our cultural diversity,” said Emma Ogg ’17, who performed in dances celebrating Haiti, the Dominican Republic and Trinidad and Tobago.
The International Student Association chose this year’s theme by focusing on how Clark’s international community can unite against divisive global issues and conflict by partnering with on-campus organizations championing social justice.
