Clark University’s alumni magazine has earned the Gold Award in the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District I Excellence Awards competition.
Clark magazine, which is published twice yearly, was cited for the quality of its writing, editing, and design; effective use of budget; and its ability to serve its audience.
The judges evaluated two submitted issues: Fall 2019, whose “Cool Jobs” cover story profiled alumni working in exciting and offbeat professions, and Spring/Summer 2020, which chronicled our alumni’s experiences grappling with the pandemic and also included a story about Professor Shelly Tenenbaum’s education of inmates inside the Massachusetts prison system and a profile of Stanley Pierre-Louis ’92, CEO and president of the Entertainment Software Association.
“We are thrilled to receive this award. Clark magazine is a labor of love which the publication’s team carries out so well,” said Jill Friedman, vice president of marketing and communications. “We are extremely proud of the impact of our efforts here at the University and of the tremendous difference our alumni are making around the world. We are honored to share their stories and to be recognized for doing so.”
The Council for Advancement and Support of Education is global nonprofit association dedicated to educational advancement through alumni relations, communications, development, marketing, and advancement services. CASE members are divided into eight regional districts. Clark is a member of District I, which includes all of New England and the eastern provinces of Canada.
