The Clark campus community is invited to join the Strassler Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies on Thursday, Dec. 7, from noon to 1:30 p.m., for a conversation about the attacks in Israel on Oct. 7, what is currently happening in Gaza, and what it has to do with us. The discussion will cover several topics, including antisemitism, Islamophobia, and violence. The format will allow participants to ask questions and to discuss.
Strassler Center professors Zoé Samudzi and Frances Tanzer will lead the conversation, which will be held in the Rose Library of the Cohen-Lasry House (11 Hawthorne Street).
“Our goal is to create space for us to come together as a community and discuss October 7, Gaza, and the reverberation of this latest convulsion of violence in our own world,” Tanzer said. “We hope that our discussion will deepen knowledge, as well as provide frameworks for thinking about violence and alternatives to it.”
