Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,
As the reports from health organizations about the novel strain of coronavirus make clear, this developing situation is affecting many people. The Clark campus itself has no cases of coronavirus, but we know that members of the Clark community whose friends and family have been affected in China and elsewhere are especially worried. We share these concerns and ask everyone on campus to be mindful of the need to be supportive for those who may be coping with the pressures of loved ones at home directly facing this situation. Please be kind to one another, in the best spirit of being a Clarkie.
If you are a student experiencing anxiety or stress, we encourage you to reach out for confidential counseling through the Center for Counseling and Personal Growth at 508-793-7678. At the same number, CPG After Hours offers phone counseling when the Center is closed. Students using the CPG After Hours service can request a counselor who speaks a specific language.
We continue to closely monitor recommendations, guidelines, and developments from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Department of Health and Human Services. We will keep you updated about this evolving situation if new information is released that would affect the campus in any way.
Sincerely,
David P. Angel
President
