Two special Clark Dining Services employees have been recognized as top team members in North America, after being nominated by university students and staff in Sodexo’s Thx! For Making My Day employee recognition program. Siliva Avinoam won recognition in September and Michelle Roman won in November as top employees in New England — and both were selected as national winners for their respective months.
Through the Thx! For Making My Day program, college students and staff around the U.S. submit nominations for Sodexo employees “who go above and beyond every day.” Nominees for the regional and national prizes are selected for the compelling nomination testimonials from students and staff. Clark Dining Services is operated by Sodexo.
“As general manager at Clark University Dining Services I am very fortunate to manage such a fantastic team,” said Sodexo General Manager Michael Newmark. “Siliva and Michelle embrace and demonstrate our commitment to outstanding customer service every day, and I am so thrilled that the Clark community took the time to recognize both of them last semester.”
Avinoam has worked in the Kosher Kitchen of the Higgins Café since 2013. Roman works at the Alumni and Student Engagement Center café, The Den; she joined Clark in 2003.
Sodexo employs more 160,000 people in North America at over 13,000 sites, so having two winners from one university in the same academic semester is a rarity.
