GSOM students create sustainability action plan for The Hanover Theatre

November 2, 2016
By Clark News and Media Relations

The Hanover Theater

Clark University Graduate School of Management (GSOM) students recently worked with Worcester’s Hanover Theatre to create a Sustainability Action Plan for the organization.

The student-led project included implementable and achievable initiatives that helped the theater increase its sustainable practices. As the organization brings together people of all ages, it has the unique ability to impact the community in a positive way by supporting and promoting sustainable behaviors.

The theater, originally constructed in 1904 as Franklin Square Theatre, was expanded in 1925 to include 3,000 seats. At one time transformed into a traditional movie theater, the Hanover was returned to its original splendor with a complete renovation and re-opening in 2008 as a performing arts center.
